Why You Should Be Using Pinterest for Your Business

So many people think of Pinterest as a tool just for saving recipes and DIY ideas. While yes, it is SO FUN for that, many entrepreneurs tend to overlook Pinterest’s capabilities and opt not to use it as a marketing tool for their business. Most people forget the fact that Pinterest is a search engine and not simply another social media platform. Users flock to Pinterest to search for ideas on anything from planning a wedding or vacation, to shopping for new outfits or artwork for their home. 

If you are a business owner serving clients who would be doing any of the aforementioned things, you 100% need to be on Pinterest.  

Here are the two most convincing reasons to use Pinterest if you’re not already pinning:

The best part about Pinterest is that it is built to generate traffic to your site. FOR FREE! Unlike other social media platforms such as Instagram, Pinterest is designed to send users off of the platform and to the website linked to the pin. Did I mention it’s free? How could you pass that up! 

When used properly and organic content is posted regularly, most business accounts show results rather quickly. When I first started using Pinterest for my business my page views grew almost immediately.

Your clients are already there

Chances are, as a small business owner you already know who your ideal client is. But you may not have realized that they are already using Pinterest to find ideas. So why not make your content available there for them to find as well? If you are a wedding, travel, fashion, beauty, or wellness industry professional, you should definitely be on Pinterest, because I guarantee you your clients are already there.
